Gloucester Inter-Club Film Competition

Saturday 12th March 2011, and the turn of BFVS to host the Gloucester Inter-Club Competition for the Ray Toleman Memorial Trophy (for best film) and the Vale Sound Trophy (for best use of sound). Held at St George’s Church Hall in Brockworth and assisted by members of the Gloucester Club, the event was well attended and a varied programme of films made by the seven participating clubs were shown. The judges this year were organised by BFVS, and were Kate Swan, Alan Moore and Tessa Polniaszek.

The entries were as follows, and shown in order of hosting the event (as laid down in the Rules of the Competition):

After the screenings the judges were very supportive, giving much praise where due and many helpful and constructive suggestions where they thought it would assist future productions. Their detailed comments were very well received, and the lively interaction between them gave much amusement!
