ORGANISATIONS FOR AMATEURS AND ENTHUSIASTS
Most people show early interest as an amateur, and these organisations can help:

- virtually all the established film and video clubs are members of this umbrella organisation for amateur film makers. Bi-monthly magazine, Film and Video library, Music advisory service, Music Copyright facilities, Regional activities, Training and Technical help. Competitions, Accreditations and Annual Festival.

AAD (Avon Association of Drama)
Secretary: Mr Chris Torpy
Tel: (Thursdays, 9.30 - 4.30) 0117 979 2992
Website: http://www.aad.xrs.net
Email: aad@cjtorpy.dabsol.co.uk
- virtually all the local drama groups, and BFVS, are members of this umbrella organisation for amateur drama in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Various training courses are arranged for different aspects of the craft. Monthly magazine.

Don't forget that joining BFVS and taking an active part in club productions will give you a taste of what is involved in film making. Many of our members are skilled in various aspects (some are retired professionals), and are very happy to pass on their expertise. Several members have progressed to taking it up as a profession. And all for the cost of a very reasonable annual membership fee!

If you're not in our area, contact the IAC (see above) for the address of your nearest club; they can also help if you live outside the UK. Alternatively, look in the Club Contact pages of the monthly amateur video magazines.
